Update 8-29-2018 0441hrs;
THE BIG STORY: Typhoon 25, the next typhoon to potentially hit land looks to be progressing on a path north and away from the Philippines. BE CAREFUL; this storm will get to CAT4 strength in the next few days! The weak LPA that was centered over Hong Kong has once again reduced it's strength, the spin has stopped.

PHILIPPINES weather is clearing overall. However, the atmosphere over northern Luzon is still unstable. It appears as though the rain is dissipating before it hits the ground. Expect more of the same today; popup showers are always a possibility, especially around 1000-1400 hours as the sun heats land area and convection helps to form good rain clouds.

GUAM is still calm and recovering from recent storms.

VIETNAM weather is beginning to see storms enter in the north as the weak LPA gives up control. Weather patterns are returning to normal in the north and mid and southern weather looks calm, but HOT!
