THE BIG STORY: Mangkhut has SIGNIFICANTLY CHANGED PATH! It will make landfall much further south affecting more communities in norther Luzon! It enters at this Point Shown in Next pic:

General conditions today are: we will have the normal popup storms later in the day. However; our shoreline is now feeling the wrath of this storm. Waves are much higher. Flooding IS EXPECTED as the storm gets closer! We will have pass-over storms that bring HEAVY RAIN for short periods across the nation. This storm is HUGE as can be seen!

I will post again in the blog with SAT Views of the cities affected along this path. I will post pics of the generic areas the storm will pass through in fb. I cannot identify them all; hopefully you will see where you are. This storm will affect areas even south of Manila as it makes landfall.

THE GOOD NEWS: After examining the path along the storm; much of the entry area is in Mountainous areas with only a few small communities. This means the storm will be restrained and it will slow down! If it comes ashore as a CAT4 as predicted, I believe the storm will slow to a CAT1-2 Before it leaves. If it stayed in the ocean; it would deliver MUCH MORE force as winds speeds would maintain the CAT3-4 Strength across north Luzon!. In addition; the Batanes have been spared a direct hit! It would have devastated them completely!

I CANNOT SPEAK TO: I ONLY deal with FACTS as presented by the weather service; NO HYPE for TV Ratings! I have NO DATA for the wave height; school cancellations; Shipping or boat travel conditions; shoreline flooding or fisherman affected areas. OTHER THAN COMMON KNOWLEDGE BY SHOWING THE SAT VIEWS OF THE STORM!

My Suggestions for Continued Preparation:  God has already heard the prayers from those who asked God to spare them as we requested a few days ago. The storm Path was dramatically changed! Now PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY and ask God to reduce the strength of this storm to CAT2-3 upon shoreline entry. This will mean that by the time the storm affects most of the people it will have reduced to CAT1-2 at best.

GUAM has wrap-around storms from Mangkhut passing over it and bringing a lot of rain!

Taiwan weather may have popup showers today; but once this storm enters the Philippines, Taiwan will get spin-off rain storms with some wind along the shoreline.

Japan weather is calming; however, Mangkhut has moved the northern JetStream into the Pacific ocean!

Hong Kong/Macau weather has popup showers later today. They may miss the storm Mangkhut all together as the changed storm path now takes it into northern Vietnam! The outer bands will still affect these cities and wave height and flooding are still an issue.

Vietnam weather has popup storms over mid to southern areas of the nation. Mangkhut IS heading toward Hanoi! However it is predicted at Tropical Storm to CAT1 Strength. We pray this will get reduced!
