THE BIG STORY: Mangkhut has been WORSE than Yolanda! It came ashore as a CAT5 and maintains much of its strength STILL. It has nearly crossed northern Luzon since 2200hrs last evening and increased it's speed from 20km/h to 33km/h; a FAST moving storm! It leaves the Philippines as a CAT4!
PHILIPPINES weather has high clouds with some scatter rain through much of Visayas and Mindanao. EXPECT MORE OF THE SAME TODAY. The Typhoon of the century, Mangkhut has hit northern Luzon with no mercy! The path changed late yesterday leaving so much of the storm over water that it never reduced it's strength! This CAT5+ storm was indeed a MONSTER STORM NEVER SEEN in the history of the world since records began! It did maintain the same area I predicted not moving much beyond Manila, but the sheer intensity of this storm is off the charts! The eyewall never got completely on shore! It is nearly at Loag now but continue its wrath and will continue on to other nations as a storm that must be taken seriously!
Hong Kong/Macau PREPARE NOW FOR AT LEAST A CAT3 as it comes ashore! You MUST be in a cement building to endure a storm of this strength! DO NOT CONSIDER THIS IS LIKE ANT OTHER STORM IN RECENT HISTORY! TAKE EVERY PRECAUTION FOR YOUR SAFETY! STAY INSIDE DO NOT TRY TO GO OUTSIDE DURING THE STORM! STORE WATER AND FOOD FOR AT LEAST TWO WEEKS as this storm will take out all power! Make sure you have charged cell phone, but shut them off to conserve battery for emergencies!
GUAM weather still has high clouds as spin-off from Typhoon Mangkhut but rain is calming to more normal conditions.
Japan weather is normal; the JetStream has returned to more normal patterns as Mangkhut released it as it crossed the Philippines.
VIETNAM weather is normal with popup showers at random across the nation.

We pray that God will have kept each of our followers alive, while they may have lost everything! Lord; we asked people to pray and fast leading up to this storm. You changed the path and it seemed it would act like a more normal storm. But then you allowed the storm path to be closer to the shoreline and we see what has happened. We know your will has been done, but it is hard to watch such devastation! Please help the people of the Philippines to recover; rebuild and thrive again. May we ALL turn our hearts back toward you, realizing that YOU are in charge! We are helpless, we have been helpless without your hand of protection; forgive us and please restore our hope. In Jesus name I ask these things, Amen.
